Every year CALH organises a programme of summer visits, a two-day Spring conference and a one-day Autumn conference.

Autumn conference 2021

 

To be held at the Kilbirnie Hotel, Narrowcliffe Road, Newquay TR7 2RS, on Saturday 30th October 2021

2 pm         Oliver Padel  "Place Names in Cornwall and Devon"

3 pm         Peter Herring  "Finding Cornwall and Devon along the Tamar"

4 pm         TEA

 

Due to a request by the Kilbirnie Hotel, we are unable to accept late bookings for this event, nor will the hotel give refunds unless cancellation is due to Government Covid restrictions.

Booking forms will be sent to members with the August Newsletter and must be returned no later than Saturday 18th September 2021.

Due to COVID-19 our summer programme of events will not take place as planned. Hopefully the visits below can be rearranged for another time when we can all enjoy getting out and about again.

Visit to Grampound

Hosted by the Grampound and Creed Heritage Project, the day will include a talk and guided tour of Grampound, including a visit to the Heritage Centre, and a visit to St Crida Church, Creed.

Visit to Looe, via Liskeard Railway

DATE TO BE RESCHEDULED

We'll be gathering at Liskeard Station for a talk before taking the train to along the beautiful valley to Looe for a guided tour to and around the town.
