Every year CALH organises a programme of summer visits, a two-day Spring conference and a one-day Autumn conference.
Visit to Grampound
Thursday 1st June 2023
10.00 Arrival at Village Hall TR2 4SB, £1 cost for car parking all day, in front of the hall
10.30 Welcome, tea coffee and biscuits in the hall
10.45 Welcome talk about Grampound given by Liz Fisher/Jane Sloan
11.15 Walk around Grampound including a visit to the Tannery with Jane Sloan
1.00 Lunch in Village Hall. Please order a pasty or bring your own food.
15mins film with talk with Liz Fisher/Jane Sloan
2.00 Drive onto Creed to visit the church of St Crida; mile south of Grampound with Jane Sloan. Cars can be parked on the side of the road

Visit to Charlestown
Saturday 24th June 2023
10.30 Arrival at Charlestown, parking at side of road, if no spaces, parking at the Rashleigh Arms, Charlestown - car park charges apply.
11.00 Welcome, tea coffee and biscuits in Pattern Hall PL 25 3FW (on the Old Foundry site).
11.15 Talk given byAndy, Charlestown History Group, who is leading the group today.
12.30 Lunch in Pattern Hall. Please order a pasty or bring your own food.
1.30 Andy is taking us for a walk around Charlestown.

Visit to Maker Heights
Thursday 27th July 2023
10.20 Arrival at Maker Heights, free car parking, follow signs to Barrack Parking. Make way to Heritage Centre at eastern end of Barrack Block.
10.30 Welcome, tea coffee and biscuits in the Heritage Centre
10.45 Welcome talk about Maker Heights and the history of the site.
12.30 Lunch. Please order a pasty or bring your own food.
13.30 Walk around Redouts and other military features on site.
